Good for Cosplay
I bought this to make a diver's helmet out of foam. It was ideal. The foam was firm enough to hold the shape very firmly, but it is still very pliable and workable.

This stuff works wonders. I initially used it to make some cheap clone trooper armor. It is just thick enough to maintain some durability, but it's thinner than the bulky square mats that are too hard to cut and heat form. I have now bought it a couple of times for a variety of projects. It's also WAY more for the price than alternatives. Great product! PS: I will soon upload pictures of the armor so you can see what one can do with it!

This stuff works great for crafting EVA foam armor. Its thick enough to hold its shape when heated and its easier to shape than the 2'x2' floor mats. It also accepts coats of Plastidip very well. It is also strong enough to hold up to large grommets being punched in.

It's for the dawgs!
We use these for our porches for the dogs. They are older and these mats give their bodies the cushion that they need when laying on the hard wood. They like to be with us when we are outside. The mats DO NOT soak up water at all which is a plus when you've left them out in the rain -- also when someone piddles because hey, it's outside right?..or the other... yep, it happens. Pick it up, wash it off and back to a clean surface. perfect.

I purchased this product in order to use for a cosplay at the recommendation of many sites and tutorials. I have almost nearly used up the entire roll, so let me give you some of my experiences: It cuts easy. You don't even need a heated blade to cut this foam unless you are going for detailed precision. I used a regular old folding knife to size it out into various squares and rectangles so I could further refine them for the pieces I needed. Simple. Be mindful, though, that it is rolled and may be a bit difficult to hold still as you cut. I would recommend rolling it out completely and flattening it with weights in order to make precision cuts. It also burns/melts easily. Don't hold your heat sources to it for more than a second or two or you risk melting away at the foam and leaving ugly indents. On the topic of heat, though, it is very easy to shape using a heat gun. Make sure to use the mid-range heat setting and do a simple quick sweep over the flat side of the foam - you will notice the difference. The color will become slightly darker as the foam reacts to the heat and starts to contract and seal. I normally do one pass across each piece, shape it a bit, do another pass as it cools, shape some more, rinse and repeat. Be careful not to hold the heat gun too close or for too long or else the foam will begin to bubble and become rough. If you burn it, it will turn an ugly white-ish color. Hot Glue: This foam is absolutely fantastic for hot glue. Hot glue bonds and hardens quickly with this foam. Before this, I was used to holding pieces of 3/8 foam together for 5 to 10 minutes at a time until the glue had set but the foam from this mat takes half that time. Be careful not to burn yourself on the glue, though, as it seems to also run pretty easily at bad angles. I've already suffered three separate hot glue burns and they aren't fun, lol. Paint and Plasti-Dip: Plasti-Dip and rustoleum spray paint works extremely well on this foam. Follow the recommended steps of 3 layers of plasti-dip over an hour and the same for spray paint. As far as using it for its intended purpose... I did create a pair of shoes for my cosplay and I used this foam for my insoles. The foam is very comfortable to walk on and definitely feels like it will live up to its name. Highly recommended.

very good for standing desk
I use this for my standing desk and it is GREAT for relief of foot pain and knee strain. I was on bare industrial carpet for a week waiting to get this, and wow. I couldnt have continued without some sort of padded standing area. I would have loved to have good grass for standing in....but building codes dont allow for that in my office. This was both cheap and has held up really well. These fit very well together and look very nice with black wood furniture and white walls. On a side note. Dont allow people with shoes to walk on this ever. Who knows what they have on the bottom of them! I would assume nothing but nasties.

Perfect for Cosplay!
After our local Orchard went out of business (Thanks Lowe's), We had to try and find another place that sold EVA foam rolls for our cosplay armor crafting. The original brand we used was relabeled, so we had to hit the internet to find the similar rolls to what we were using. They are far thinner than the large square puzzle-piece blocks sold at Walmart or Home Depot. This roll was EXACTLY like the old ones we used to use, except bigger in length! I was so stoked to be able to order these even close to the price we found before. The other nice part is that the foam comes with elastic straps holding it together, so it's been wonderful for storage. It shipped really fast too, so that's a huge plus.

I really like these! I just received them and got them down on my tile kitchen floor, so I'm not sure how they're going to hold up in the long run. But, they are exactly what I needed. They provide the cushioning that I was looking for, while not over doing it. And, they are super light weight, which, as far as I'm concerned, is a big plus. It will make them easy to move when I want to clean the floor. I will definitely buy these again.

Just what I was wanting.
I am a A&P (airplane mechanic) and bought this to keep me off the cold and dirty hanger floors. It was way bigger than I needed and I cut it roughly in half. I have had the chance to use it and it worked perfect for my needs. It is light but firm and really nice to lay on.

Does what I wanted this for perfectly
I have a cat who recently started having incontinence problem & he started being under the bed quite often because of it. I wanted something that I can lay lots of pee pads on which allows me to not have to crawl under the bed to change/clean it. This serves the purpose perfectly!
